Kid’s stuff movement

Have you read that little story where people were bringing little kids to Jesus for him to place his hands on them? And then when his disciples saw this, they tried to stop them. But Jesus called the children to him and said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.”

That’s in Luke’s biography of Jesus (chapter 18). Pretty cool, eh? Jesus is talking about how people become part of his brilliant, universal movement of hope and love and forgiveness. Seems to leave out all the high and mighty and self-made people and all the self-righteous men and women too. Doesn’t sound like religion either.

Funny how he doesn’t speak about religion or church. Just about his (heavenly) Dad and his movement of grace and joy, healing and acceptance.

So, who is prepared to join his movement? embracing it as a little child?

Hands up!
